Our doctrinal beliefs are not simply a denominational distinctive, but distilled from the study of God’s Word and connects this local body of believers with true believers in Jesus Christ through the ages. It is by God’s Word that we get to know and obey God. Our study of the Bible will not, therefore, be bypassed or be made secondary to social concerns or activities but will rather be promoted so that the Word and the teaching of the Word become the pulse and heartbeat of all that our church does.
We believe that the Bible consists of the 39 Old Testament and 27 New Testament canonical books; that every word has been inspired by God and thus the Bible, in the original manuscripts, is without error. Because the Bible is inspired by God it is the supreme and final authority for our faith and conduct.
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — who have the same nature and attributes, but who are distinct in office and activity, and who are worthy of the same worship, confidence and obedience.
We believe that the eternal Son of God came into this world to fulfill prophecy, manifest God to men and redeem lost mankind. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the virgin Mary. He is therefore both fully God and fully man, yet without sin.
His death was therefore substitutionary, the just for the unjust. We believe that according to Scripture Jesus Christ arose from the dead in the same body, though glorified, in which He had lived and died.

We believe that humans were originally created in the image of God (they did not evolve from lower orders of life). We believe that all sinned, bringing both physical and spiritual death to themselves and our descendants. We believe that all humans have inherited a sinful nature and are alienated from God. All humans are therefore unable, by their own efforts, to please God or save themselves.
We believe that a person’s salvation is a gift from God; that salvation is received when a person places his/her personal trust (faith, belief or acceptance) in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the full and sufficient payment for the penalty of his/her sin. We believe that humans are justified by grace through faith apart from works either preceding or following his/her faith.
We believe that all who have received Christ as Savior are saved forever. We believe this because of the unchangeable work of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that it is the privilege of all who are born again by the Spirit through faith in Christ to be assured of their salvation from the moment they believe. We believe that this assurance is not founded upon any feeling, but wholly upon the testimony of God in His written Word.
Real, practical holiness is seen as the believer humbly learns to submit every area of his life to the prompting of his new nature. This results in a progressive sanctification as the believer by faith grows in obedience to God and His Word through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the universal church, the Body and Bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism, made up of all believers of this present age. Christ is the head of the church. We believe the church began at Pentecost and that a believer is placed into the church by the baptizing work of the Holy Spirit, which occurs when a person trusts Christ as Savior. We believe that the church is distinct from Israel in God’s plan.
We believe that the local church is an assembly of believers in Jesus Christ who are voluntarily joined together in one locality for the purpose of worship, study of God’s Word, observance of the ordinances, Christian fellowship and Christian service.
We believe that Christ instituted the ordinances of water baptism and the Lord’s Supper which are to be observed by believers until He returns.
We believe that water baptism is a believer’s public testimony to his relationship with his Savior.
We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a memorial of Christ’s death, the elements being symbols of His body and His blood. We believe that every Christian has a right to partake of the elements of the Lord’s Supper, but that each participation should be preceded by careful self-examination for unconfessed sin.

At Fellowship Bible Church in Victoria, Texas, our mission is simple yet powerful — to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ. This calling shapes everything we do as a church family. A disciple is more than someone who simply identifies with Christianity in name; a disciple is a true follower of Christ in every area of life, seeking to think, speak, and act in ways that reflect His love and truth.
We believe discipleship is a lifelong journey of growing closer to Jesus, allowing His Word to guide our decisions, shape our relationships, and influence how we serve others. As followers of Christ, we witness to the hope found in Him, encourage one another in faith, and actively do good works in His name.
Jesus is alive and at work today, and we are humbled and grateful to join Him in the work He is doing here in Victoria, throughout Texas, and around the world. Through biblical preaching, faithful teaching, and genuine fellowship, we share God’s Word and love one another because He first loved us.
Fellowship Bible Church has a history rooted in God’s faithfulness and a passion for His Word. In 1965, God brought together a group of believers with a shared vision — to exalt Jesus Christ through the preaching and teaching of Scripture. What began as a small, devoted community of faith has grown into a vibrant church family committed to staying true to that original calling.
Over the decades, the Lord has graciously provided everything we have needed to continue this ministry. He has blessed us with faithful pastors and leaders, buildings that serve as places of worship and ministry, financial resources to sustain and expand our work, and most importantly, the Body of Christ — men, women, and children who love Him and carry out His mission in our community, our city, and beyond.
From the earliest days until now, we have sought to remain steadfast in teaching God’s truth, loving one another, and reaching out with the Gospel. It is our privilege to continue this legacy, trusting that the same God who has been faithful in the past will guide us into the future.
